Need a ride but don’t want to pollute the environment? Not too keen to get stuck in traffic? RYDE might be just what you're looking for.

RYDE Carpool Challenge

The last thing you want at 8am on a Monday morning is to be caught in a traffic jam. It’s expensive and can be incredibly frustrating. Thankfully, one social enterprise, RYDE, is here to solve all that.

RYDE aims to solve the twin issues of congestion and pollution. What's more, you can check the latest news or even chit-chat with other carpool-ers on your way to work. It doesn’t hurt that you end up paying significantly lower financial and societal costs. For companies, it represents lower travel expenses as well.

From April till the end of the year, RYDE is hosting the RYDE Carpool Challenge to help reduce the level of carbon emissions - for every 10 km travelled, 2 kg of carbon emissions is reduced. Yes you read that right - 2kg. Help them hit the 1,000,000 km mark, and you might stand a chance to win an eco-friendly Mitsubishi Attrage. To date, they have clocked 300,000 km and reduced 60,000 kg of carbon emissions.

It’s simple – just request, match and review.  Download the app for free from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

Hear more from riders and drivers on their RYDE experiences here and check other simple life hacks to help you live kind.
