The programme offers funding to enable social enterprises to develop their prototype into a working model, improve existing processes or add critical capabilities to achieve sustainability, or scale up their existing business that leads to greater social impact.

Through the Social Enterprise Grant Programme, DBS Foundation hopes to encourage innovation by social enterprises to meet complex social needs. DBS has supported over 100 social enterprises in Asia with grant funding since 2012.

The grant programme is open to social enterprises in Singapore, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia and Taiwan that are registered business entities in their respective countries of operations.

Successful applicants can expect to receive funding of up to SGD 50,000 for prototype grants targeted at early-stage social enterprises, and up to SGD 250,000 for organisational grants for revenue generating social enterprises that have been in operation for two to four years.

In addition, grant awardees join an esteemed community of social enterprises whom DBS Foundation supports to ignite possibilities for a truly inclusive Asia.
