THE LOW DOWN: E D E N + E L I E is a Singapore-based ethically-sourced jewelry brand that combines modern aesthetics with heritage bead weaving traditions. They use only responsibly sourced materials such as glass and premium plated metals, rather than scarce or dubiously sourced avoid using precious metals and gemstones. They are also working to employ the disadvantaged by providing them with flexible employment as bead weaving artisans.

THE LOW DOWN: ExtraOrdinary Horizons is a social enterprise run by the deaf that hopes to create an inclusive society where the disadvantaged can attain confidence in their own abilities. They promote deaf awareness through sign language courses, workshops, performances and outreach activities.

OUR PICKS: They’ll be offering cute as a button handicrafts made by their deaf beneficiaries out of perler beads. Prices range from SGD 3-30.
